Charlotte will discuss her new book, Dreaming of Chanel, at the QUT on Friday, December 10 · 11:00am - 12:00pm
2 George Street (QUT Gardens Point campus)
Brisbane, Australia
In Dreaming of Chanel, Charlotte Smith offers an unforgettable glimpse inside the magic wardrobe every woman would love to own.
Charlotte's godmother, Doris Darnell, made made her custodian of more than three thousand garments dating from 1790 to 1995.
Drawing from the book of stories that accompanied the collection, Charlotte charts the lives of the women who owned the garments and reveals that this wasn't merely a collection of beautiful things she had inherited, it was a precious collection of women's lives.
Join us to be one of the lucky few to have your copy of Dreaming of Chanel signed by the author Charlotte Smith. You can also view a selection of Chanel garments from her Collection which will be on display.
